ABOUT BLOOMING MINDS MODEL SCHOOL
Blooming Minds Model School was established in the year 2013 under the Blooming Minds Model School Nursery and Primary.
The school’s aim was to collaborate with committed teachers ans parents using the best teaching methodology in the world to raise children that will champion the affairs of tomorrow. The school is located at Tudun Wada North Tunga, Chanchaga Local government area of Minna. Niger State.
Blooming Minds started with about ……….. pupils enrolled in both Kindergarten/Creche, Nursery and Primary classes. Since it started the school’s conducive, decorative and dynamic educational environment has contributed to evolve. Soon after the school began, news started to spread about the drives swelling in the school.
In just one two (2) years, the environment multiplied. In the year 2014 the school graduated about twelve (12) pupils from Nursery and about seven (7) pupils from the Primary to secondary. The school’s named now changed to Blooming Minds Model school Nursery, Primary and Secondary. The school now is operate up to junior secondary school (III). From September 2015. I.e Authorization was given to enable the school to offer up to Junior secondary education classes.
In the year 2018, the school applied to have an approve center to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) by The National Examination Council (NECO). An educational supervisory committee was sent to the school from The Quality Assurance Department of the Niger State Ministry of Education to check the school’s academic standard, teacher’s qualification with their specializations, availability of Scientific, Computer & Home economics laboratories and availability of Musical instruments and Art studios.
A report was written by the committee certifying the school to be worthy of conducting the NECO BECE Exams, which was sent to NECO. The NECO accreditation team visited in January 2019 and the center for NECO BECE exam was approved in February 2019. About 20 students sat for the Exam that year and 98% success was recorded. Since then, the school continues to grow.
The school was then upgrade in August 2019 to offer up to Senior secondary classes which began in September 2019.
In 2021 The Quality Assurance Department of Niger State Ministry of Education certified the school to be worthy to write SSCE. And copies of the report where sent to both WAEC and NECO for approval.
In the same year (2022) the WAEC accreditation team visited in September. The school’s WAEC center was approved in January 2023.
The NECO accreditation team visited in February 2023, the school’s center for NECO was approved in March 2023.
About eight (8) students wrote both WAEC and NECO in 2023 and we recorded 95% success in both. Then in 2024 about 16 students sat for WAEC and NECO and 99% success was recorded.
The school has two standard scientific laboratories. First for Agric and Biology and the Second for Chemistry and Physics. Standard ICT laboratory for ICT solutions and the conduct of the school’s E – Exam. All with qualified and dedicated teachers.
The school also has a Standard Vocational Training center containing The Hair dressing unit, The Tailoring unit, The Catering unit, Barbing unit and The ICT unit. Available for our students and outsiders.
